You may donate any type of motor vehicle that is allowed in your state. This would include any king of cars, trucks or motorcycles. Some organizations will also accept non-titled vehicles such as snowmobiles, karts, 4×4 or others.
The vehicle does not have to be in running condition. Almost all charitable organizations will accept any vehicle that is worth more than the cost of picking it up and towing it.
You don’t need the vehicle title, but it makes everything much ease if you do. You need to turn over your title just as if you were selling the vehicle: this means filling out the title transfer form that is usually on the back of the title itself. If you don’t have the title you may still be able to donate it, but you’ll need an expert to help you out.
